Jindo-gun Implements 2020 Resident Safety Insurance
11 Items, Compensation Up to 10 Million KRW
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Seo Young-seo] Jindo-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 5th that it will subscribe to and implement a residents' safety insurance from this month to protect the safety and property of its residents.
The subscription targets are about 32,000 residents and foreigners registered as residents in Jindo-gun, and they will be automatically enrolled simultaneously with the county's bulk contract without any separate subscription procedures.
The coverage items include 11 categories such as natural disasters, explosions, fires, collapses, public transportation use, agricultural machinery accidents, robbery damage, drowning, and school zone injuries, with coverage up to a maximum limit of 10 million won.
The coverage period is one year, and it can overlap with individually subscribed accident insurance, which is expected to contribute to stabilizing residents' lives and improving welfare through prompt damage recovery.

An official from the Jindo-gun Safety Life Support Division said, "We will focus administrative efforts on systematically establishing safety facility infrastructure to strengthen the social safety net and create a safe and happy Jindo."
