Lee Jae-myung Announces Sixth Confirmed Case in Guri via Facebook
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] The number of confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection in Gyeonggi Province has increased to six.
Lee Jae-myung, Governor of Gyeonggi Province, posted on his Facebook on the morning of the 5th, titled "The 6th confirmed case in Gyeonggi Province added (17th nationwide)," reporting that a 38-year-old man living in Guri, Gyeonggi Province, who visited Singapore from the 18th to the 24th of last month to attend a conference, tested positive for the novel coronavirus on the 5th and was isolated at Myongji Hospital.
The governor added, "I will provide accurate detailed information as the epidemiological investigation progresses."
Regarding the status of confirmed cases in the province, starting with the 3rd confirmed case (visited Goyang City) on the 26th of last month, followed by the 4th confirmed case (resident of Pyeongtaek City) on the 27th, the 12th confirmed case (resident of Bucheon City) on the 1st of this month, the 14th and 15th confirmed cases (residents of Bucheon City and Suwon City, respectively) on the 2nd, and the 17th confirmed case (resident of Guri City).
Gyeonggi Province and Guri City are conducting epidemiological investigations with health authorities to identify the patients' movement paths and contacts.
