According to the county on the 5th, the health promotion tasks at the public health center have been minimized, and under the leadership of Director Yoon Jeong-hee as the general team leader, teams were formed for each of the 11 towns and townships, deploying about 60 personnel to ensure no negligence in infectious disease response.
Additionally, personnel have been intensively deployed to 373 senior centers, which have many elderly vulnerable to the virus, and 85 multi-use facilities frequently used by residents, strengthening on-site prevention activities such as providing hand sanitizers and cleansing agents, posting infectious disease prevention public action posters, conducting infectious disease prevention education, village broadcasting, and disinfecting surrounding areas.
Since confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection have recently occurred in nearby Gwangju Metropolitan City, causing anxiety among residents, the county is conducting even more thorough disinfection and quarantine measures to fully prevent the spread of infectious diseases.
