Two New COVID-19 Patients Confirmed... Total 18 (Update)
[Asia Economy Reporter Cho Hyun-ui] The Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC) Central Disease Control Headquarters announced on the 5th that two additional patients have been confirmed.
The 17th patient is a 38-year-old Korean male who visited Singapore from the 18th to the 24th of last month to attend a conference. After being informed that there was a confirmed case (from Malaysia) among the event attendees, he visited a screening clinic the day before. On that day, the test result was confirmed positive.
The 18th patient is a 21-year-old Korean female and the daughter of the 16th confirmed patient. She was confirmed positive on the day through a test conducted during quarantine.

The KCDC stated, "Epidemiological investigations and quarantine measures are currently underway for the additional confirmed patients," and added, "Information from the epidemiological investigation will be disclosed as soon as it is confirmed."
