Gwanak-gu, Support for Apartment Complex Management Costs
Priority Support for Small Complexes with Poor Residential Environments and Safety-Risk Apartments... 'Visiting Apartment Free Consultation Office' Operated Since 2020
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Junhee) is promoting the ‘2020 Apartment Management Cost Support Project’ to create a pleasant residential environment in apartment complexes and revitalize the resident community.
The ‘Apartment Management Cost Support Project’ is a program in which the district partially supports the costs necessary for the maintenance and management of aging apartment common facilities. It is implemented with the purpose of creating a pleasant apartment residential environment and contributing to resident harmony and neighborly communication activation.
Last year, Gwanak-gu supported 3.2 billion KRW for 30 complexes and carried out 31 projects including ▲road repairs ▲repairs of resident common facilities such as children’s playgrounds ▲LED lighting replacement, contributing to the creation of a pleasant residential environment.
This year, the support scale is a total of 3.5 billion KRW, and up to 50% of the total project cost (up to 20 million KRW) per complex will be supported.
The support targets are 147 apartment complexes in the region, with priority given to small-scale complexes with poor residential environments and apartments with safety risk factors.
The support includes repair and maintenance of resident common facilities such as public libraries and resident sports facilities, as well as maintenance and repair of common facilities within complexes such as roads, senior centers, and children’s playgrounds.
Apartments wishing to apply can submit related documents by March 13th by visiting or mailing to the Housing Division of the district office through the resident representative meeting or management entity.
The district will select and support the recipients after on-site investigation and feasibility review of the submitted apartment management cost support projects, followed by evaluation at the end of April.
Also, the free apartment consultation office that operated on the 6th floor of the district office last year will be reorganized this year into a ‘Visiting Free Apartment Consultation Office.’
The district plans to operate a consultation office where a specialist visits one apartment complex per group on the fourth Wednesday of every month to explain apartment management.
Consultation applications can be made by visiting or calling the Housing Division, and detailed information such as the operation schedule can be checked on the Gwanak-gu website in February.
