[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kang Juhee] A woman in her 50s who searched the bodies of two female students in Daejeon to find her lost cash was sentenced to prison.
On the 4th, the Daejeon District Court Criminal Division 3 (Judge Oh Youngpyo) sentenced Ms. A, who was indicted for searching another person's body, to six months in prison with a one-year probation.
The court stated the sentencing reasons, saying, "There are somewhat mitigating circumstances regarding the circumstances and motive that led the defendant to commit the crime by searching the bodies of the victims around her to find the lost cash," and "considering that the defendant has no prior criminal record."
Ms. A is accused of searching the bodies of two teenage female students suspected of stealing her money at a building in Sejong City on the morning of July 7 last year.
