Kwon Seong-ju, spokesperson for the New Conservative Party, stated in a comment on the 4th, "When a friend catches a cold, catching the cold together does not help at all."
He added, "To actively cooperate so that our friend country China can overcome the virus as soon as possible, the spread of the virus in the Republic of Korea must be thoroughly prevented," emphasizing, "We ask for broad understanding even if it becomes inevitable to completely ban the entry of returning citizens in the future so that our friend country Korea can cooperate in a healthy state."
He continued, "It is regrettable that there was no apology or expression of regret from the ambassador of the virus-origin country that has thrown the whole world into fear," and evaluated, "In less than a week after his appointment, his direct press conference in Korean conveyed consideration for an allied country."

Spokesperson Kwon said, "As per his press conference, we hope the Chinese government will take comprehensive and strict measures to prevent the spread of the virus, and as an allied country and largest trading partner, we will actively cooperate where cooperation is possible," adding, "We hope all facts will be shared with the international community as they are to avoid unnecessary suspicion about the Chinese government's response. The fact that the possibility of human-to-human transmission was confirmed early but not immediately reported to the international community was sufficient to raise unnecessary concealment suspicions."
