Trade Commission "Providing Import Trend Service to Industry... Enables Prompt Trade Remedy Applications"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] The Trade Commission of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy will provide services through the 'Trade Remedy Import Trend System' starting from the 5th to assist the industry in promptly applying for trade remedies.
The Trade Remedy Import Trend System is a system that comprehensively links databases (DB) of related import and industry trend data, such as import statistics from the Korea Customs Service and industrial statistics (Mining and Manufacturing Survey) from the Statistics Korea.
Additionally, it is an import monitoring system that provides the industry with ▲ import trends by item and country ▲ industrial trends by imported items, enabling analysis of the domestic industrial impact due to increased imports.
Based on the import trend monitoring results, the Trade Commission plans to conduct in-depth industrial trend surveys and analyses, and publish import trend analysis reports by industry and item to the industry, thereby supporting qualitative analysis of industrial impacts.
