[Asia Economy Reporter Heo Midam] Today (the 4th), the day of Ipchun (Beginning of Spring) according to the solar terms, the whole country will be clear in the morning but snow will gradually fall from the afternoon.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, the entire country will be influenced by a high-pressure system located over the West Sea and a pressure trough moving southeastward from the northwest, causing the sky to gradually become cloudy from the afternoon.
The expected snowfall amounts are 1 to 5 cm in the central regions excluding the eastern coastal area of Gangwon, Jeollabuk-do, the western inland of Gyeongsangbuk-do, and mountainous areas of Jeju Island, and around 1 cm in Jeollanam-do and the northwestern inland of Gyeongsangnam-do.
The morning low temperatures are expected to be ▲Seoul -5°C ▲Incheon -4°C ▲Chuncheon -9°C ▲Gangneung -2°C ▲Daejeon -5°C ▲Daegu -3°C ▲Busan -1°C ▲Jeonju -4°C ▲Gwangju -4°C ▲Jeju 3°C.
The daytime high temperatures are expected to be ▲Seoul 4°C ▲Incheon 5°C ▲Chuncheon 3°C ▲Gangneung 7°C ▲Daejeon 6°C ▲Daegu 7°C ▲Busan 10°C ▲Jeonju 6°C ▲Gwangju 9°C ▲Jeju 9°C.
Fine dust levels will be at a 'normal' level across all regions.
