Fire at Yangju Leather Factory... 2 Dead and 10 Injured
[Asia Economy (Yangju) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] A fire presumed to be caused by an explosion occurred at a leather factory in Yangju, Gyeonggi Province, resulting in a total of 10 casualties.
According to the fire authorities, at around 11:24 a.m. on the 31st, a fire presumed to be caused by an explosion broke out at a leather processing factory in Ganap-ri, Gwangjeok-myeon, Yangju. So far, 2 people have died and 8 have been injured. One person previously reported missing has been confirmed alive.
The fire authorities estimate that the fire started in the factory boiler room and have issued a Level 1 response while investigating the cause of the fire.
