Lotte Department Store Unveils New Concept Food Market Combining Grocery Shopping and Gourmet Dining

Lotte Department Store Jamsil announced on the 31st that it will showcase premium aged Hanwoo beef from Uga at the 'Uga X Anseong Matchum Hanwoo Collaboration Store' until the 6th of next month. This is a collaboration between Uga, a renowned Hanwoo brand in Apgujeong listed in the Michelin Guide for four consecutive years, and Anseong Matchum Nonghyup, a famous Hanwoo brand from Anseong, within the department store.
This store is a 'Groceraunt-type popup' where customers can purchase high-quality Hanwoo beef and simultaneously enjoy dishes from famous restaurants. The concept is 'a delicious restaurant experience within a supermarket in a department store.' Groceraunt is a combination of grocery and restaurant, meaning a store where you can buy groceries on-site and taste them immediately.
Here, you can enjoy various pork products such as steaks aged for about 60 days using Uga's patented 'Active Aging' technology with verified quality Anseong Matchum Hanwoo, pork belly aged for 506 hours, and Spanish Iberico pork neck.
Particularly noteworthy are Uga's self-produced home meal replacement (HMR) products.
Uga, which gained fame through social networking services (SNS), and Donggogi506, whose popular menus are sold offline, have released meal kit products that allow customers to easily enjoy these dishes at home. Notably, these products use direct-fire containers so that Uga's chadolbagi sushi, aged Hanwoo bulgogi, Donggogi506's pork belly sushi, and cream fried rice can be conveniently enjoyed straight from the container.
During the seven-day popup store operation, customers can taste chadolbagi sushi, pork belly sushi, yukhoe bibimbap, and more prepared by chefs from Michelin-starred restaurants. On-site discounts and tasting events will also be held to provide customers with a gourmet experience.
