Santa Maria Novella Launches Diffuser Capturing Scents of Five Continents
[Asia Economy Reporter Yujin Cho] Shinsegae International's Italian beauty brand Santa Maria Novella announced on the 31st the launch of the diffuser collection "Profumo per Ambiente," which captures the scents of five continents around the world.
Inspired by the great nature of the continents of Europe, Africa, America, Asia, and Oceania, the collection features portraits of women representing the five continents on unique perfume bottle containers.
Santa Maria Novella developed the product based on the idea that the sense of smell is more delicate than any other sense and remains the most powerful memory. With the concept of "a scent that engraves memories in the heart," it allows customers to enjoy a sensory world tour through fragrances representing each continent.
For this collection, female painter Avenda Albana Lila created portraits of five women in an Art Deco style for the packaging. The women in each product perfectly depict the characteristics and scents of the five continents.
First, "Europa," symbolizing the European continent, is portrayed as an elegant and sophisticated woman wearing a golden embroidered dress. The scents of bergamot, orange, violet, and rose flowers blend with woody and mossy aromas, offering a fresh feeling as if strolling through a European garden filled with flowers and fruit trees in the early morning.
"Africa," depicting a woman intoxicated by the scent of mango against a red sunset background, symbolizes the rough and mysterious charm of the African continent. It features fresh eucalyptus, peony, and the lively scent of mango.
America, expressing the strong vitality of a woman in a deep green dress, captures the Amazon jungle and the tropical rainforests of the Caribbean. Fresh mint and lime are combined with sweet maple syrup and vanilla notes reminiscent of North America, providing a soft yet refreshing sensation.
"Asia" represents an Eastern woman embodying both the purity of the lotus and the sensuality of iris. The scent evokes a quiet forest dawn, enhanced by lily and freesia floral notes, creating a sense of mystery.
Finally, "Oceania" depicts a free-spirited woman enjoying the sea breeze barefoot on the Oceania continent. The scent features the sweetness of white acacia flowers blooming abundantly on the beach and the natural sea breeze.
