At a time when the low birthrate issue has emerged as a serious social problem, Dobong-gu is providing various supports for pregnant and childbirth employees to achieve a work-life balance and be devoted to their families.
In particular, starting this year, the district launched the ‘Happy Bebe Project,’ creating nameplates for pregnant employees and delivering congratulatory gifts worth approximately 300,000 KRW when an employee or their spouse gives birth, fostering a workplace culture that celebrates pregnancy and childbirth.
The ceremony was attended by Mayor Lee Dong-jin and many employees, who shared congratulations and encouragement and had a meaningful time listening to senior employees’ childcare know-how.
Mayor Lee Dong-jin of Dobong-gu stated, “Through the ‘Happy Bebe Project,’ which aims to create an organizational culture that respects and cares for pregnant employees and a safe working environment, we will do our best to deliver congratulatory gifts, practice employee appreciation, and contribute to birth promotion policies.”
