[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] Images and specifications of Samsung Electronics' second foldable phone, the 'Galaxy Z Flip,' set to be unveiled next month, have all been revealed. Essentially, only the price remains unknown.
On the 29th (local time), German IT specialist media WinFuture reported photos presumed to be official images of the Galaxy Z Flip along with detailed specifications. With about 12 days left until the unpacked event, most specs except the price have been disclosed. According to the report, the Galaxy Z Flip features a 6.7-inch foldable OLED display with a 22:9 aspect ratio.
It is a 'hole display' filled entirely with screen except for a front camera hole located at the top center. To enhance durability, ultra-thin glass is applied instead of the plastic film material used in the Galaxy Fold. A small bumper is also added on the bezel to cushion physical impact when opening and closing.
When folded, the external display is a 1.06-inch Super AMOLED that is always on, allowing users to check the time, date, and notifications. The thickness is 6.9mm when unfolded and 15.4mm when folded. The phone's hinge has been improved to fix at angles between 70 and 110 degrees. It can be fixed at a 90-degree angle for taking photos or video calls.
The smartphone's processor is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ and it supports 8GB of RAM. Storage capacity is 256GB, and there is no micro SD card slot. The battery consists of two 3300mAh units and supports 15W fast charging and 9W wireless charging. It is released as an LTE model, does not support 5G, and lacks a display fingerprint recognition feature.

The rear camera includes a 12-megapixel main lens and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens. The front camera is 10 megapixels and supports autofocus. The Galaxy Z Flip shown in the released images comes in black and purple, but it is also expected to be available in gold and silver colors. Price estimates vary from $1400 (approximately 1.64 million KRW) to 1500 euros (about 1.94 million KRW). The release date is likely February 14, three days after the unpacked event held on the 11th of the same month.
