Dongseo Power Generation Achieves First-Class Rating for Two Consecutive Years in Anti-Corruption Policy Evaluation by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission
[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] Korea East-West Power announced that it was selected as a Grade 1 institution, the highest rating, for two consecutive years in the Public Interest-Related Organizations Group II (33 institutions) of the Anti-Corruption Policy Evaluation conducted by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission.
The Anti-Corruption Policy Evaluation assesses each institution's performance in eight areas: ▲establishment and implementation of anti-corruption promotion plans ▲expansion of participation in integrity policies ▲establishment of anti-corruption systems ▲efforts to eliminate corruption risks ▲operation of anti-corruption systems ▲achievements of anti-corruption policies ▲efforts to spread anti-corruption policies ▲and deduction areas.
Korea East-West Power believes that the fact that not a single case of corruption by its executives and employees occurred influenced the achievement of the Grade 1 rating.
Korea East-West Power was the first public institution to introduce and implement the 'Anonymous Whistleblower Reward System,' an autonomous anti-corruption measure.
It also operates a Integrity Working Group, a campaign to comply with the five major guidelines for senior officials' integrity practice, a focused reporting period for misconduct, a voluntary participation ethics culture festival, and visiting integrity lectures.
Furthermore, internal controls were strengthened through the introduction of a personnel system to enhance integrity and the specification of disciplinary standards for illegal use of budgets.
