Hampyeong-gun announced on the 28th that since the 24th, it has convened an emergency meeting on quarantine measures, formed and operated a quarantine task force led by the deputy governor, and is concentrating all administrative efforts on preventing the spread.

Acting Governor Na Yunsu said, "Although no suspected cases of the novel coronavirus have occurred in our county or Jeollanam-do, the fourth confirmed case has appeared in the country. As the infectious disease crisis alert has been raised to the warning level and the situation has become serious, all departments should take responsibility and do their best to prevent the spread of the infectious disease, as our residents are anxious."
A Hampyeong-gun Public Health Center official said, "To prevent the novel coronavirus in advance, please follow infection prevention rules such as proper handwashing and wearing masks."
