Tourism Organization Launches Initiative to Enter US Medical Tourism Market
[Asia Economy New York=Correspondent Baek Jong-min] The Korea Tourism Organization New York Office (Director Yong Seon-jung) has laid the groundwork for pioneering the US medical tourism market.
On the 27th (local time), the Korea Tourism Organization New York Office signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Delaware-based medical tourism specialist company 'Mymedchoices (hereafter MMC)' to expand the dispatch of medical tourists to Korea.
MMC recruits medical tourists from major US companies and institutions such as Walmart, Starbucks, and Amazon, as well as individuals, and sends them worldwide. According to the Tourism Organization, MMC already sends about 3,000 medical tourists to Korea annually, and partnered with the Tourism Organization to further expand the dispatch of medical tourists to Korea.
The Korea Tourism Organization plans to utilize MMC's network to conduct joint online and offline promotional activities to attract medical tourists to Korea.
