According to Jeonnam Province on the 27th, the Jeonnam Fire Aviation Unit (affiliated with Jeollanam-do) conducts rescue and emergency medical activities for severe trauma patients and emergency patients occurring in Jeonnam, which has many islands and mountainous areas. The Yeongam Forest Aviation Management Office (affiliated with the Korea Forest Service) promptly arrives at the scene in case of forest fires in the province to lead initial firefighting and safety protection.
Governor Kim said, “I sincerely thank the personnel who are working hard to protect the lives and property of the residents during the holiday season,” and added, “I hope you also take care of your own safety while operating helicopters, and continue to be a reliable guardian of the residents’ safety.”

The Jeonnam Fire Aviation Unit, established in 1999, has achieved 6,000 hours of accident-free flight over 21 years and received the Minister of the Interior and Safety Award last year.
