Assemblyman Song Gap-seok: "Legislative and Prosecutorial Reform Are the Lunar New Year Topics in Gwangju"
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Shin Dong-ho] Song Gap-seok (The Democratic Party of Korea, Gwangju Seogu Gap) stated, "The biggest topic of public sentiment in the Gwangju region during the Lunar New Year holiday is securing the momentum for the success of the Moon Jae-in administration, centered on livelihood legislation and prosecution reform."
Song said, "Since the tasks desired by the Moon Jae-in administration and Honam are the same, there were many voices saying that the core national agenda must be completed through livelihood and reform legislation in the 21st National Assembly. Therefore, the public opinion was that the ruling Democratic Party must secure more than a majority of seats," adding, "In particular, the Democratic Party and the government's decisiveness in leading prosecution reform were viewed very positively."
He continued, "Merchants such as small business owners and self-employed people had high expectations for economic recovery," and added, "We received strong encouragement to enrich the common people's economy further through powerful momentum in legislation for livelihoods."
