'King of Mask Singer' Choi Bul-am Advances to Round 2... Pa's Identity is Kim Young-chul
[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Lim Juhyung] On MBC's entertainment program 'King of Mask Singer,' a battle took place between masked singers Choi Bulam and Pa. The identity of Pa revealed that day was comedian and singer Kim Youngcheol.
On the afternoon of the 26th, MBC's 'King of Mask Singer' aired a stage featuring eight masked singers challenging the reigning king, Nangrang 18-se.
The second match of the first round was between Choi Bulam and Pa. The two chose to passionately sing "Letter from a Private" by singers Kim Kwangseok and Kim Hyunsung.
The voting result was 57 to 42, with Choi Bulam defeating Pa and advancing to the second round. Pa removed his mask after singing "When My Loneliness Calls You" by singer Jang Pilsoon. His identity was Kim Youngcheol.
After finishing the stage, Kim Youngcheol said, "I am the popular singer Kim Youngcheol," and shared his feelings about appearing on the show, saying, "I got choked up during my solo song. I was a bit absorbed in the song and was very happy."
He continued, "I first appeared on 'King of Mask Singer' four years ago," adding, "I felt good because they called me an actor from the start today."
