Construction Housing Forum Holds New Year's Greeting Ceremony... Han Jeongtak Elected as New President
[Asia Economy Reporter Chunhee Lee] The Construction Housing Forum held its 2020 New Year’s greeting ceremony on the 21st at the Agnes Hall in Heritz Tower, Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, and announced on the 23rd that Han Jeongtak, CEO of Gyeonggi Green Energy, was elected as the new chairman.
The ceremony began with a New Year seminar presentation by Kim Heejeong, head of the Fides Development Research Institute, on the theme of "2020 Spatial Trend Changes and the Construction Housing Industry," followed by the regular general meeting, introduction of new members and member news, dinner, and performances. Lee Wonjae, head of the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority, and Kim Seungbae, CEO of Fides Development, who contributed to the forum and the development of the domestic construction industry, were also awarded the Proud Construction Owner Award.
The New Year’s event was attended by about 150 members, including Lee Hyungjoo, honorary chairman of the Construction Housing Forum; Jang Taeil, inaugural chairman; Shin Wancheol, CEO of Inpyeong PM; Lee Sanggeun, president of Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Construction; Kim Seungbae, president of Fides Development; Kim Hyungryeol, vice chairman of the Korea Housing Association; Kim Jinho, president of Doosan Construction; Jung Hwayoung, CEO of Geumseong Baekjo; Nam Taekho, executive director of Hana Asset Trust; Seok Gyunseong, head of Lotte Construction; Yoo Seungha, president of Gwangju Urban Management Corporation; Kwon Jinhyeok, head of Hwaseong Industry; Yoo Jaebong, CEO of KR Sports; Chun Hyunsook, president of the Housing Society; Choi Minseong, CEO of Delco Realty Group; Han Areum, CEO of Yoon Jeomsik; and Jang Wonseok, CEO of Gatesin Holdings.

In his New Year’s address, newly appointed chairman Han Jeongtak stated, "The forum’s goal is to contribute to the stabilization of the housing market and the improvement of residential culture by pursuing research and improvement of housing-related systems," emphasizing, "Any regulatory policy must be accompanied by supply measures to achieve results."
