Songpa-gu Provides Road Name Address Information via Text Message to New Residents
KT Agreement and Bulk Address Change Site Also Provided via Text Message
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Songpa-gu (Mayor Seongsoo Park) started a free service on the 21st that sends road name addresses via text message to new residents.
The district sends a welcome message from the mayor, the result of the move-in application processing, and the road name address via text within one hour after the move-in report to the head of the household who provided a mobile phone number on the move-in report form.
In particular, the sent message includes information about the ‘Address Change Site (www.KTmoving.com)’ to enhance resident convenience. This site allows users to change their ‘mail receiving address’ registered with various institutions with a single click, and the service is provided free of charge through an agreement with KT.
The service can be used with simple identity verification without a separate membership registration process, and users can select companies such as telecommunications, card companies, banks, life insurance, distribution companies, automobile, and airlines to apply for bulk address changes.
Through this, the district expects to eliminate the inconvenience of new residents having to search for the address change site separately and further contribute to the activation of road name addresses.
Additionally, for applicants only, the district provides a mobile Songpa newsletter text message service conducted on the 25th of every month, and plans to offer foreign language text services (English, Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese) for foreign new residents in the future to support stable settlement of residents.
