Jung Mong-won, Chairman of Halla Group, Personally Oversees Executive Personnel Affairs
[Asia Economy Reporter Suyeon Woo] Chung Mong-won, Chairman of Halla Group, is taking on the role of Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) to lead the group's HR innovation. Recently, Chairman Chung directly implemented personnel changes and declared a shift toward a younger and more flexible organization.
On the 22nd, Chairman Chung established the new title of Chief Human Resources Officer to spearhead HR innovation and decided to personally assume the position. At the same time, he will concurrently serve as the Director of Halla Talent Development Institute, responsible for nurturing the group's human resources, overseeing all HR and education operations within the group.
A Halla Group official explained, "This is a measure to establish the principle that 'people are the core capital' and to lay the foundation for becoming a first-class company based on the group's HR philosophy of spirit and synergy."

Lee Jung-seok, deputy general manager at Mando Brose, was promoted to senior executive director and appointed as the new CEO of Mando Brose. He graduated from Sungkyunkwan University with a degree in Business Administration and joined Mando's planning office in 1999, later serving as CFO of Mando's U.S. subsidiary, making him a financial expert.

Additionally, Halla Group made efforts to promote female talent by appointing Kim Ki-young, senior researcher at Mando R&D Center, as the first female executive at the research institute. Promoted to deputy general manager, Kim graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and joined Mando in 2001, working at the global R&D center as a research and development specialist.
