Air Seoul to Launch VOD Service on All International Routes Starting February
LCC First... Expansion of Content Including Dramas and Variety Shows
[Asia Economy Reporter Yu Je-hoon] Air Seoul announced on the 22nd that it will launch in-flight Video On Demand (VOD) services on all international routes starting from the 1st of next month.
Since October, Air Seoul has been operating the "Sky Cinema" service, the first among domestic low-cost carriers (LCCs), allowing passengers to watch movies and other content through in-flight monitors.
Previously, only selected movies were available on some Southeast Asian routes, but starting next month, the content will be greatly expanded to include dramas, entertainment shows, and more, and the service will be extended to all international routes.

An Air Seoul official stated, "While maintaining the lowest fares typical of an LCC, Air Seoul has pursued differentiated in-flight services such as spacious seats, movie screenings, and free game console rentals. Since launching the in-flight movie service last October, passenger satisfaction has been very high, leading us to officially start the VOD service."
