Chief Kim, a native of Boseong, Jeonnam, graduated from the Police University with a degree in law and joined the police force as a lieutenant in 1987.
He has served as the Head of Education Division at Jeonnam Provincial Police Agency in 2002, Head of Community Safety Division at Jeonbuk Provincial Police Agency in 2010, Chief of Naju Police Station in 2016, and Public Relations Officer at Gwangju Provincial Police Agency last year. He is known for demonstrating leadership based on ‘autonomy and responsibility’ and is recognized for his outstanding leadership both internally and externally.
