Assemblyman Park Yong-sik, Enactment of Ordinance to Support Prevention of Telecommunications Financial Fraud Victimization
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Ki-dong] Mokpo City Council announced on the 17th that the ordinance to support the prevention of damage from telecommunication financial fraud (voice phishing) in Mokpo City, which was proposed by Councilor Park Yong-sik (Yongdang 1-dong, Yongdang 2-dong, Yeondong, Samhak-dong) at the 353rd extraordinary session on the 16th, has been enacted.
The newly enacted ordinance includes an institutional foundation concerning 'support for damage prevention' and 'formation and scope of activities of the support council.'
With the enforcement of this ordinance, it is expected that a practical management system for preventing telecommunication financial fraud damage will be established, and the implementation of support measures through the ordinance will minimize damage from telecommunication financial fraud.

Councilor Park Yong-sik said, "As telecommunication financial fraud damage is increasing day by day, I proposed the ordinance believing that prevention before damage occurs is more important than measures after the incident," and added, "I hope that no cases of telecommunication financial fraud, such as telephone financial fraud, will occur in our region through this ordinance."
