Ahn Jong-sook, Chairperson of Seocho District Council, Presides Over Seoul District Council Chairpersons' Association January Monthly Meeting
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] The Seocho District Council (Chairperson An Jongsuk) held the Seoul Metropolitan Council Chairpersons' Association January monthly meeting at 4 p.m. on the 15th at the Ruby Hall of EL Tower.
At the monthly meeting, attended by chairpersons of 23 district councils including Seocho District Council, the agenda proceeded in the order of introduction of the Seocho District Council chairpersons, congratulatory remarks, presentation of legislative awards, viewing of promotional videos, and discussion of agenda items.
In her welcoming speech, Chairperson An Jongsuk said, "It is an honor to hold the first chairpersons' association meeting of the new year in Seocho District, and I would like to extend special thanks and greetings to all the district council chairpersons who attended despite their busy schedules."
She continued, "Seocho, where everyone wants to live, is a representative city of Korea harmonizing culture, arts, business, and transportation. The 15 council members, including myself, are diligently carrying out legislative activities under the banner of 'a just council that empowers residents' for the 450,000 residents of Seocho."
Finally, she concluded, "Exchanging various information and experiences through regular monthly meetings can serve as a 'primer' to improve the quality of life for Seoul citizens. I hope to gather the wisdom and insight of those gathered here to embody the hope of the era."
At the meeting, a plaque of appreciation was presented to Seocho District Mayor Cho Eun-hee for her significant contributions to supporting legislative activities, and legislative awards were given to Seocho District Council members Park Jinam and Lee Hyunsook for their active legislative contributions to the development of legislation.
The Seocho District Council plans to hold the 294th extraordinary session on the 17th, visit the National Cemetery, and hold a moment of silence for the patriotic martyrs and national heroes who devoted their lives for the country.
