Jeep, Renegade 1.6 Turbo Diesel Launch Commemorative Instagram Event
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ji-hee] Jeep announced on the 16th that it will hold an Instagram event titled "Enjoy the Renegade and the Wide World!" to celebrate the launch of the Renegade 1.6 Turbo Diesel model.
The campaign will run for about seven weeks from today until the 28th of next month. First, until the 31st, there will be a Renegade advertisement spotting certification photo event. By following Jeep's official Instagram account and taking photos or screenshots of Renegade advertisements found on all channels such as TV, online, and movie theaters, then uploading them to personal social network service (SNS) accounts with the required hashtags, participants will be entered into a draw to win prizes including Apple AirPods Pro (1st prize, 1 winner), CGV gift cards worth 20,000 KRW (2nd prize, 16 winners), and Starbucks Americano exchange coupons (3rd prize, 32 winners).
Then, from the 3rd to the 28th of next month, there will be an event where participants share their escape plans with the Renegade on their SNS accounts. Outstanding plans will be selected to receive a 2-night, 3-day Renegade test drive voucher (3 winners) and fuel gift certificates (10 winners). Afterward, videos of the execution of these plans will be submitted for a contest, and excellent works will be chosen to receive prizes such as 1st prize: 1,000,000 KRW travel support fund for everyday escape, 2nd prize: Rimowa travel suitcase, and 3rd prize: Renegade test drive voucher.

Meanwhile, Jeep's compact sport utility vehicle (SUV) Renegade sold a total of 2,391 units last year. The newly launched Renegade Longitude 1.6 Turbo Diesel and Limited 1.6 Turbo Diesel on the 2nd of this month are equipped with a 1.6ℓ Multijet II turbo diesel engine producing a maximum output of 120 horsepower and maximum torque of 32.7 kg·m, paired with a 6-speed DDCT transmission. Additionally, they feature the 'Engine Stop and Start (ESS)' function, achieving a combined fuel efficiency of 15.6 km/ℓ.
