The Only One in Jeonnam with Over 200 Billion Won... Approaching 300 Billion Won
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Yong-chul] Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do, has been putting all its efforts into securing budgets through attracting public projects since early this year, including conducting 'Public Project Discovery and Capacity Building Training' in March last year.
As a result, it secured a total project cost of 298.2 billion KRW across 80 fields, ranking first in Jeollanam-do, and Boseong-gun is the only local government to secure more than 200 billion KRW in public project funds.
This figure is more than three times higher than the county's own previous figures, reflecting the administration's efforts to encourage employees to actively challenge public projects and voluntarily participate in attracting projects.
Major public projects to be actively promoted by Boseong-gun from 2020 include ▲Marine Leisure Tourism Hub Development Project (48 billion KRW), ▲Fishing Village New Deal (14.1 billion KRW), ▲Boseong Complex Community Center (41 billion KRW), ▲Beolgyo Cultural Complex Center (29 billion KRW), ▲Sewerage Maintenance Project (95.4 billion KRW), and ▲Forest Product Income Source Management Practice Center (9.8 billion KRW).
Through these, the Boseong-type Blue Economy and the main urban strategies of the 7th local government term have taken flight. Boseong-gun plans to accelerate the Marine Leisure Tourism Hub Development Project (48 billion KRW) and the Jeonnam Teachers' Education and Cultural Facility (30 billion KRW) centered on the Yulpo Integrated Tourism Complex to become a stay-type marine tourism hub.
Additionally, by constructing the Boseong Complex Community Center (41 billion KRW) and the Beolgyo Cultural Complex Center (29 billion KRW), it will provide spaces for local residents to enjoy leisure and cultural activities, and plans to inject vitality into the city center by implementing policies consistently in connection with urban regeneration New Deal projects.
