Busan Police Agency Selects Top 10 Strategic Tasks for Public Safety

The Busan Metropolitan Police Agency identified 123 tasks to establish this year's major work plan, then reviewed them and selected 10 tasks related to public safety, including the eradication of crimes infringing on the livelihood economy.
The 10 selected major tasks are ▲ Comprehensive measures to protect citizens' lives from traffic accidents ▲ Stabilization of the 'Safe Speed 5030' policy throughout Busan and contribution to its nationwide expansion ▲ Strengthening 112 crisis response capabilities for disasters, etc. ▲ Solidification and stabilization of the local police 'Neighbor Patrol System' ▲ Establishment of a joint response system for psychiatric emergencies ▲ Strengthening a platform for guiding and protecting at-risk youth through participation and collaboration ▲ Eradication of crimes infringing on the livelihood economy through proactive and preventive investigations ▲ Securing citizen safety through preventive criminal activities ▲ Eradication of violent gangs in daily life ▲ Protection of migrant women and children from multicultural families.
On the 14th, the Busan Metropolitan Police Agency held a public forum on the 7th floor of its building, attended by residents, media, civic groups, experts, and representatives of on-site police officers.
