Lotte Department Store Launches Self-Developed Signature Scent 'Plitvice'
[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Lotte Department Store's Lotte Culture Center will launch its self-developed fragrance 'Plitvice' on the 17th. Plitvice is the name of a national park in Croatia known for its forest and lake landscapes, meaning 'a gift from God.'
Plitvice will be diffused in the lobbies of culture centers at eight stores nationwide, including the main store, Jamsil branch, and Busan main store, to introduce the scent to customers visiting the culture centers.
From the spring semester, unique classes utilizing scent marketing will also be offered. Representative classes include ‘Make Your Own DIY Perfume,’ ‘Making Herbarium Diffusers’ with Sogongwon, and ‘Making Wax Tablets.’
‘Hand Lotion’ and ‘Aroma Oil Droppers’ infused with the Plitvice scent will also be produced. The ‘Aroma Oil Droppers’ will be provided as a dropping service to students attending yoga, meditation, and Pilates classes, while the ‘Hand Lotion’ will be placed in the culture center lobbies and restrooms, allowing customers to naturally experience the fragrance.
Lotte Department Store explained that the marketing was implemented to help culture center members, who regularly visit the stores, naturally recall Lotte Culture Center through the Plitvice scent and build positive experiences.
Meanwhile, Lotte Department Store plans to gradually expand this scent marketing to all stores. Customers enrolling in regular spring semester classes will receive a ‘Plitvice Card Perfume’ as a gift on a first-come, first-served basis.
