Gwangju Seo-gu, Additional Recruitment for Safety Management Advisory Group

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yoon Jamin] Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Seo Daeseok) announced on the 14th that it will hold an additional public recruitment for the ‘Safety Management Advisory Group’ until the 31st of this month.
The Safety Management Advisory Group was promoted to enhance disaster accident prevention and management capabilities through safety inspections, as residents' anxiety increased due to the growing number of disaster risk factors such as aging facilities.
The number of recruits is a total of 24, including 8 in architecture (including structure), 2 in civil engineering (including structure), 9 in firefighting, 2 in electricity, 2 in gas, and 1 in elevators. The term of office is until August 18 of next year.
Eligibility requirements include ▲ university professors in related fields such as architecture, civil engineering, electricity, gas, and firefighting ▲ experts (professional engineers, architects, or equivalent) ▲ experts belonging to safety management specialized institutions as stipulated in Article 40 of the Enforcement Decree of the ‘Disaster and Safety Management Basic Act’ or those with experience working in such institutions ▲ retired public officials with work experience in disaster and safety fields or holders of related professional certifications.
Appointed safety management advisory committee members will perform professional advisory roles such as ‘visiting free safety inspections,’ on-site inspections including third-class facility status surveys and safety inspections, and the establishment of safety management plans and sector-specific safety measures.
