Alpha Homepage Renewal Commemoration Contest Announcement
[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] Sony Korea is holding the '2020 Alpha Photo Contest' until the end of next month.
On the 13th, Sony Korea announced that to commemorate the renewal and reopening of the homepage delivering Alpha brand news, the '2020 Alpha Photo Contest' will be held until February 29.
This contest is open to anyone who uses Alpha series cameras. Participants can upload photos taken with Sony Alpha cameras and lenses to personal SNS channels such as Facebook, Instagram, blogs, or communities like SLR Club and cafes.
To participate, entrants must write down the subject they most want to challenge in 2020 and the Sony Alpha camera and lens they want to use, then submit the URL containing this information on the event page within the Alpha homepage. The judge will be photographer Shin Jaeguk, currently serving as the head lecturer at Sony Korea Alpha Academy.
The first prize winner (1 person) will receive the APS-C mirrorless camera Alpha 6400, which features AI-based subject recognition technology for enhanced speed and accuracy in autofocus (AF). Second prize (2 people) will receive a premium camera bag (Lowepro ProTactic BP 350 AW II), third prize (3 people) a 256GB high-capacity ultra-fast UHS-II memory card SF-M256, fourth prize (4 people) a sling-style camera bag (Lowepro StreetLine SL 140), and fifth prize (10 people) a coffee gifticon.
The revamped Sony Alpha homepage provides content such as Alpha product information, reviews, videos, and know-how. It also allows users to view content updated on Sony Korea’s official blog, YouTube channel, camera-related communities like SLR Club, and professional magazines at a glance. Portfolios and works of various Sony photographers, as well as information on the camera bodies and lenses they use, are also posted. Event applications, seminars, and academy registrations are now possible within the Alpha homepage.
