Busan City Promotes Busan in Northern Europe Ahead of Busan-Helsinki Direct Flight Launch
Operation of Busan Tourism Promotion Booth at 'MATKA 2020 Nordic Fair'

On the 13th, Busan City and the Busan Tourism Organization announced that they will participate in 'MATKA 2020 Nordic Fair,' the largest tourism exhibition in Northern Europe held in Helsinki, Finland, from the 16th to the 19th, operating a Busan Tourism Promotion Booth.
The Busan Tourism Promotion Booth will introduce Busan's tourism resources and content to travel industry professionals and general visitors, as well as conduct business consultations.
On the 14th, Busan City will hold a 'Korea Night' tourism briefing in Helsinki in collaboration with the Korea Tourism Organization. At the briefing, about 80 local tourism officials will be invited to discuss joint marketing and watch promotional videos introducing key Busan tourism content.
In line with the launch of the Busan?Helsinki route, the city plans to strengthen efforts to attract Northern European tourists by organizing familiarization tours inviting local journalists and officials.

A Busan City official stated, "Helsinki is a gateway city and transportation hub in Northern Europe, and the establishment of a direct flight route will activate the attraction of long-distance tourists from Europe and beyond. We will continue active marketing to diversify the tourism market through strengthened local cooperation with the Korea Tourism Organization, Finnair, and others."
