Gwangju City Completes Personnel Transfers for Grade 5 and Below in the First Half of the Year
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 10th that it has completed the regular personnel appointments for the first half of 2020 with the transfer of 552 employees at grade 5 and below, effective on the 13th, following the grade 4 transfer personnel appointments on the 1st.
This transfer personnel appointment for grade 5 and below focused on stable organizational management by restricting transfers of employees who have worked less than one year in their current department, which is a personnel principle of the 7th local government administration, fair and transparent personnel management through the 'Hope Personnel System,' and appropriate placement of personnel to ensure smooth progress of city administration tasks.
In particular, the city significantly reinforced personnel in key departments of city administration such as the Gwangju-type job project for labor-management coexistence, establishment of an artificial intelligence industry ecosystem, construction of Urban Railway Line 2, the 40th anniversary commemorative event of the May 18 Democratic Movement, fostering international tourism cities and cultural industries, and creating a happy Gwangju that is good for having and raising children, thereby strengthening the driving force of city administration.
Additionally, since the 7th local government administration, the city has been operating the 'Hope Personnel System' so that employees can be assigned to departments they desire, allowing them to carry out their duties with pride, affection, and passion. In the case of the grade 5 and below transfer personnel appointments in the first half of this year, out of a total of 552 employees, excluding 111 who did not express personal preferences, 328 employees were transferred considering personal preferences and department recommendations, resulting in a matching rate of 74.4%.
