According to Jeonnam Province on the 10th, Governor Kim visited the livestock product processing plant of Geumhwa Co., Ltd. (Chairman Lee Seung-jun) at Cheonggye Agricultural Industrial Complex in Muan on the same day.
At the site, Governor Kim encouraged the plant officials and urged them to strive for job expansion, AI prevention quarantine, and hygienic and safe livestock product production.
Geumhwa Co., Ltd. built a modern chicken slaughterhouse and processing plant specializing in chicken on a 19,000㎡ site in 2014.
It has created about 230 jobs, slaughters and processes an average of 82,000 broilers daily, and generates annual sales exceeding 100 billion KRW, contributing to the revitalization of the local economy. They are also preparing to export heat-processed chicken products.

Governor Kim said, “We will spare no support necessary for the revitalization of local businesses and job creation for local residents,” adding, “Please make every effort to ensure thorough AI prevention quarantine activities such as disinfecting slaughterhouses for two consecutive years of AI cleanliness and to produce safe livestock products that consumers can trust and eat without hesitation.”
