On the 10th, writer Kwak Jung-eun appeared on the Busan edition of the youth empathy concert "On Dream School," broadcast on KBS 1TV.
In the broadcast, Kwak gave a lecture on the theme of "self-esteem." She said, "I really wanted to tell teenagers the 'truth about self-esteem,'" and revealed an honest self-esteem graph reflecting her own life.
She continued, "During the three years attending a foreign language high school, I was ranked only around 40th, and I failed the document screening fifty-nine times during job preparation. But I passed on the sixtieth document screening," adding, "Life changes countless times while living. Important events in life are not fixed values."
Additionally, Kwak emphasized, "There is a tendency to view adolescence in a dichotomy of success and failure, but that is not important," highlighting self-efficacy over perfection.
Regarding the lecture, on the 10th, Kwak posted a photo on her Instagram.
The released photo shows her giving the lecture, along with the caption: "The work I truly love. Public lectures. The grateful and special experience of seeing that on television. Thank you for giving me this precious opportunity to speak."
