Busan Museum Hosts 'Seol Celebration Folk Festival' for the Year of the Rat
‘Come Visit the Museum! Let’s Have Fun!’... Traditional Folk Performances and Experience Events
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Yoseop] Busan Museum announced on the 10th that it will hold a folk festival "Come Play at the Museum! Have Fun!" on the 25th, the biggest national holiday Seollal, where families can enjoy together.
The Seollal folk festival consists of traditional folk performances, folk games open to everyone, and experiences such as mirror making. Families participating in various traditional folk games that are usually hard to experience, such as Yutnori fortune-telling, Tuho, Gulleongsoe, Jegichagi, and top spinning, are expected to fully enjoy the festive atmosphere.
On the same day, from 1:30 PM, a traditional folk performance by the Busan Arts Troupe will be held in the lobby of the Busan Hall. From 2 PM, after the performance ends, the experience program "Make My Own Mirror" using the Year of the Rat character will be held four times.
The Seollal folk festival is open to all visitors to the museum. The experience program can be joined by up to 30 people per session, with on-site registration starting at 1 PM for 30 minutes each session.
