Gyeongbuk Province Selected for 174 Government Public Projects... Secures 1.1 Trillion Won in National Funding

View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Yushin] Gyeongbuk Province announced on the 9th that 174 projects were selected in central government ministry competitions last year, securing 1.1117 trillion KRW in national funding.
This amount is an 82.2% increase compared to the 610.3 billion KRW (109 projects) secured in 2018. Of the national funding, 553.9 billion KRW will be invested by this year, and 657.8 billion KRW will be invested from 2021 onwards.
Future growth engines in the economic, scientific, and industrial sectors were secured through projects such as the Gumi Smart Industrial Complex Leading Project (200 billion KRW), Social Customized Industry-Academia Cooperation Leading University Development (31.2 billion KRW), Region-led Youth Job Project (29.4 billion KRW), Accelerator-based New Drug Development Project (22.9 billion KRW), and 5G Core Components and Convergence Product Development (9 billion KRW).
Additionally, various fields were selected for public competitions, including Urban Regeneration New Deal (140 billion KRW), Basic Living Base Development (94.6 billion KRW), Rural Hub Revitalization (49 billion KRW), Open-field Smart Agriculture Pilot Project (16.5 billion KRW), Renewable Energy Convergence Support (16 billion KRW), and Cultural City Designation (10 billion KRW).
