[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] On the 9th, the Bareunmirae Party appointed Representative Park Joo-sun to the vacant position of the National Assembly Intelligence Committee Chairperson following the resignation of Representative Lee Hye-hoon.
Kim Soo-min, the Bareunmirae Party floor spokesperson, told reporters immediately after the party meeting, "Given the urgent international security situation such as the current US-Iran conflict, it was deemed necessary to promptly normalize the Intelligence Committee. We decided it would be best to select the chairperson through an endorsement process at the party meeting." He added, "After gathering opinions from the party leadership and senior lawmakers, Representative Park was recommended as the most suitable candidate and appointed."
