Taxi Driver Dies After Collapsing Following Dispute with Passenger Over 'Munkok' Issue

The Seongnam Jungwon Police Station in Gyeonggi Province announced that Mr. A, a taxi driver in his 60s who was receiving treatment in the hospital for a fractured skull, passed away in the early morning of the 9th.
Earlier, on December 31st last year at around 7:40 PM, Mr. A collapsed backward and fractured his skull after arguing with passenger Mr. B in front of Moran Station in Seongnam City, leaving him unconscious.
The incident began when Mr. B got into the taxi and the car door hit a roadside construction structure, a so-called "door ding" situation, which Mr. A took issue with, leading to a scuffle involving grabbing each other's collars.
Mr. A was transported to the hospital after falling but never regained consciousness and eventually died. Mr. B was booked on charges of assault causing injury and is under police investigation.
