KOTRA to Operate Korean Pavilion at CES This Year... Supporting Promotion of Korean Companies' Technologies
[Asia Economy Reporter Suyeon Woo] KOTRA announced on the 8th that it will operate the Korea Pavilion at CES (Consumer Electronics Show) 2020, held in Las Vegas, USA, for four days starting from the 7th of this month, in collaboration with the Korea Electronics and Telecommunications Industry Promotion Association (KEA).
KOTRA, together with the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development, Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency, Seongnam Industry Promotion Agency, and Suwon Sustainable City Foundation, formed an integrated Korea Pavilion to actively support a total of 95 Korean companies showcasing future technologies.
This year, 67 out of the 95 companies are included in the Eureka Pavilion. The Eureka Pavilion mainly exhibits new products developed within less than two years, focusing on startups. As a result of removing distinctions between regions and institutions, the number of companies increased significantly from 36 last year to 67 this year. Additionally, the Korea Pavilion was efficiently organized by setting up themed pavilions for nine product categories.
Participating companies in the Korea Pavilion will present products equipped with outstanding technology and ideas not only to buyers and visitors from the United States but also from around the world. This year’s CES is expected to host about 4,600 companies from 165 countries worldwide, with more than 170,000 visitors anticipated.
