Gyeongnam Election Commission Holds Briefing Session for Preliminary Candidates in Goseong and Uiryeong County Council By-elections
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Ju Cheol-in] The Gyeongnam Provincial Election Commission announced on the 8th that it will hold a registration guidance session for preliminary candidates on the 14th ahead of the by-elections and re-elections for Goseong County Council and Uiryeong County Council members, which will be held together with the April 15 general election.
In these areas, a re-election will be held in Goseong County District Da, where the election of a county council member was invalidated, and a by-election will be held in Uiryeong County District Na, where a county council member lost their position.
The session will provide preliminary candidates with necessary information throughout the election process, including required documents for preliminary candidate registration, instructions on filling out the registration application, election campaign methods, restrictions and prohibitions, and limits on election expenses.

Preliminary candidate registration applications for the Goseong and Uiryeong County council by-elections can be submitted starting February 2. Official candidate registration applications will be accepted for two days from March 26, concurrently with the 21st National Assembly election.
