Hwasun-gun Promotes 'Agricultural Machinery Support Project in Distribution Sector'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Young-gyun] Hwasun County, Jeollanam-do (Governor Gu Chung-gon) announced on the 7th that it is promoting an agricultural machinery support project in the distribution sector to increase farm income.
The county is accepting applications for the grain dryer, agricultural product dryer, and low-temperature storage support project until the 15th to promote the distribution sector support project this year.
Farmers who wish to receive agricultural machinery support can apply at the industrial team of the Eup/Myeon Administrative Welfare Center.
Support for grain dryers and agricultural product dryers is a project to reduce farm labor and management cost burdens through simple processing.
The target for grain dryer support is farms cultivating rice on 1 hectare or more, and a fixed amount of 4 million KRW per dryer with a drying capacity of 4,000 kg (40 seok) or more is provided.
The target for agricultural product dryer support is farms cultivating agricultural products on 1,000㎡ or more, and 1 million KRW out of 2 million KRW per dryer (50% county funds, 50% self-payment) is supported.
The low-temperature storage support project, promoted to regulate the shipment of horticultural crops and increase farm income, targets farms cultivating horticultural crops on less than 2 hectares.
This project supports a 9.9㎡ (3 pyeong) scale low-temperature storage facility to eligible recipients, with a support fund of 3 million KRW out of 6 million KRW per unit (50% county funds, 50% self-payment).
The county plans to finalize the scale of project recipients through the Agricultural Policy Deliberation (Horticulture and Special Crops Subcommittee) next month.
