Jeonnam Fire Headquarters Expands Operation of Disaster Site Video Transmission System
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Jeonnam Fire Headquarters (Chief Ma Jaeyoon) is expanding the operation of the disaster site video transmission system.
According to Jeonnam Fire Headquarters on the 6th, the 'video transmission system,' which has been operated mainly on fire station command vehicles for rapid and accurate information collection and situation assessment at disaster sites, will be operated with 56 vehicles including rescue teams and selected pump vehicles from 119 Safety Centers.
The disaster site video transmission system shares real-time footage from cameras installed on fire trucks through the LTE network of mobile carriers to the Jeonnam 119 Integrated Situation Room and the Fire Agency Situation Room.
With the expansion of vehicles equipped with this system, it is expected that initial response capabilities and the disaster site control tower function will be further strengthened.
In addition, to enable rapid and accurate situation assessment and on-site response anytime and anywhere, a mobile-based application has been developed to provide video to fire commanders' smartphones.
It is expected that the support environment for firefighting forces will be maximized so that the situation at the site can be understood and recognized during support dispatch from nearby fire stations.
