Lee Jae-myung "Overseas business trips this year also seem unlikely to be easy like last year"
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Lee Jae-myung, Governor of Gyeonggi Province, stated that overseas trips for local diplomacy this year are likely to be as difficult as last year.
At a New Year's press briefing held on the 6th at the Gyeonggi Governor's official residence in Paldal-gu, Suwon, Governor Lee said, "Last year's overseas visits were limited because I couldn't schedule long-term plans due to ongoing trials," adding, "Since there are fluid situations this year as well, such as Supreme Court rulings, it seems difficult to schedule long-term and important visits."
He also mentioned, "Unlike domestic schedules, once an overseas visit is scheduled, it is not easy to cancel," and added, "Local diplomacy this year also seems unlikely to be easy, similar to last year."
