Yoon Hyemi, Professor at Chungbuk National University, Appointed as the First Director of the Child Rights Protection Agency
[Asia Economy Reporter Cho Hyun-ui] Professor Yoon Hye-mi of the Department of Child Welfare at Chungbuk National University has been appointed as the inaugural president of the Child Rights Protection Agency, a key institution for realizing the 'Inclusive Nation Child State Responsibility System.'
The Ministry of Health and Welfare announced on the 6th that Professor Yoon was appointed as the president of the Child Rights Protection Agency. Born in 1959, the new president Yoon has served as a senior researcher at the Korea Institute for Health and Social Affairs, director of the Korea Child Abuse Prevention Association, president of the Korean Society of Child Welfare, and chairperson of the Chungbuk Childcare Policy Committee. Her term is three years, ending on January 5, 2023.
The Ministry explained that President Yoon has accumulated extensive experience and deep expertise encompassing the field of child welfare and has made significant contributions to research and talent development in child welfare studies.
