SME Policies Also on 'YouTube'... Small and Medium Venture Businesses & Small Business Owners
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Daeseop] The Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced on the 5th that it will hold a comprehensive briefing session on the '2020 Support Projects for SMEs, Startups, and Small Businesses.'
This briefing session will be held from the 9th of this month to the 14th of next month at 12 regional Small and Medium Venture Business Offices nationwide. Regional office heads will explain this year's major budget and policy directions. Following that, they will introduce policy directions and support details in areas such as finance, technology development, startup ventures, sales channels, and small businesses (traditional markets).
A consultation booth for business difficulties will also be set up to allow SMEs to consult on issues they face on-site in one place.
Each regional office will jointly visit sites where policy demand exists together with local governments and related organizations. A total of 273 'visiting briefing sessions' will be held by sector.
To enhance convenience for SMEs and small business owners who find it difficult to attend the briefing sessions, and to allow easy access to SME support policies anytime and anywhere, an online business briefing session will also be held. The comprehensive policy briefing session held on the 9th will be broadcast live in real-time on the 'SME Ministry YouTube' channel.
Videos that clearly explain major sector-specific project guidance and Q&A will be produced and posted on the SME Ministry YouTube and the Corporate Plaza starting from the end of January.

Jung Yeonho, head of the Statistics and Analysis Division at the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, said, "This briefing session does not require prior registration, and interested SMEs can participate in the briefing session by visiting the nearest regional Small and Medium Venture Business Office regardless of the company's location."
