President Moon Absent... "Attending Korea Chamber of Commerce New Year's Meeting"
[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Sehee] Hong Nam-ki, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance, said on the 3rd, "We will form a regulatory task force (TF) to ease regulations in 10 major industrial sectors."
Deputy Prime Minister Hong attended the 2020 New Year's Meeting of the Business Community held at COEX in Seoul on the same day and stated, "Although the government made efforts last year, it fell short of the expectations of businesspeople."
He added, "We plan to focus on easing regulations in 10 sectors," and said, "I believe this effort will greatly help in revitalizing the economy."
Regarding President Moon Jae-in not attending the New Year's Meeting of the Business Community for the third consecutive year, he mentioned, "Most of the people who came today also attended the New Year's Meeting at the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry the day before," and said, "I consider that the major framework of the New Year's Meeting of the Business Community has been held."
