[Asia Economy Reporter Yang Nak-gyu] Air Force Chief of Staff Won In-chul flew an FA-50 fighter jet on the 3rd for his first command flight of the new year over the Nakdong River area, a historic site of the Korean War.
The Air Force revealed that Chief Won visited the 16th Fighter Wing, which is responsible for air defense missions over the central and northern airspace of the Korean Peninsula, in the afternoon to inspect the status of air operations and readiness, and conducted a command flight.
Leading a formation of FA-50 fighter jets, Chief Won flew over the Nakdong River front, a major Korean War battlefield including Hapcheon Haeinsa Temple and Chilgok Dabudong, marking the 70th anniversary of the outbreak of the Korean War.
